Professional learning for school music teachers, co-presented by WYSO conductors and school-based teachers, and a relaxed reading orchestra for adult players led by WYSO Music Director Kyle Knox. All events are held at the WYSO Center for Music.

Every session is a weeknight evening at the WYSO Center for Music, 1118 E. Washington Ave., with a short time commitment.

Created especially for school orchestra and band instructors and pre-service music education students, and open to all music teachers. Participants bring their instruments and play with a lab ensemble as veteran colleagues present repertoire at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, discussing how and why each piece works well with students and sharing successful rehearsal techniques. Dinner and time to talk shop are included.
About the Teachers Collaborative →

About the Reading Orchestra →“More of these sessions would be great! This is the type of PD music teachers want!!”
“Doing this on a regular basis would be a dream. More time would be better but honestly — this was incredibly convenient (even from Milwaukee), and I liked the small time commitment on a weeknight.”
“It was great to have pro teachers share their tricks and new rep. I'm always looking for more ideas + inspiration.”
